It has been a lot of work on the rust, but we have only repaired the most necessary areas. There is a lot more work to do...

It´s a 5M-GE, the 170hp version without EGR and cat. :)

Unfortunately right after i arrived in Gothenburg the headgasket broke and its running on 4 cylinders now... but its still running smooth and quite strong :)

Headgasket set, head studs and other bits are ordered already... it should be fixed in a few weeks...

It's actually not that much work involved exchanging the gasket itself. According to Toyotas flat rate times it's a 5-6 hours job. Did it on my 5ME (main difference is one camshaft and timing chain instead of belt). Way more time consuming doing a swap, unless your going for the 6M that is...
